Chapter Three: Publish or Perish
It’s time for the 1st Annual Susquehanna Valley Writers Festival! Sponsored by a prestigious publishing company, they’ve chosen the Bloomsburg Public Library as the venue for three days of celebrating local authors and their achievements. But the festival is also a competition between local authors for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a publishing contract and book tour for their current book and a $50,000 advance on their next book! The head of the publishing company, a celebrated literary critic, and a famous local author would be the ones choosing between the four finalists. The competition would culminate on the last night of the festival, with the winner being revealed by the judges at a cocktail reception at the library.
And tonight is the night! The judges, finalists, and guests have all gathered at the library and are eagerly awaiting the announcement. But while everyone nibbles hors d’oeuvres and sips cocktails, it becomes very clear that something has gone wrong…

Come out and make fun memories with friends old and new while supporting the community, programs, and collections of our Columbia County libraries.
