Printmaking: Relief Prints

A black and white circular relief print featuring a fierce, roaring tiger head in the center. The tiger is stylized with sharp lines and open jaws revealing teeth. Two white banners unfurl from behind the tiger's head, with "20" on the left banner and "23" on the right. Two white lightning bolts flank the tiger head. Around the top edge of the circle, "STAY SHARP" is printed in an arc, and along the bottom edge, "Print Camp" is written in a flowing script. The entire design is set on a solid black background within the white circular paper.$35.00 - Please register here

Like a linoleum block carving but using a much softer rubber, in this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of carving a design into a printing block, inking the surface, and transferring their image onto paper to create striking, high-contrast prints. No experience necessary—just bring your creativity and a willingness to explore this timeless technique. All materials provided.

Relief prints are perfect for art prints, cards, repeated patterns, etc.

What happens if you’re not done at 3:00? You will have the option to add on another hour of work time for $10 at the end of the class.

Ages: recommended 12+ (Note: this process does use sharp tools. Parents, please use your judgement on whether your child is mature enough. Feel free to use the contact form on the website for any additional questions or concerns.)

If you have any questions or would like to be added to the mailing list, please email Ruth at ruth@mixtapeworkshop.com.
